Quality care for a new young mum and her baby

Here is the wonderful story of Naw Mu Mu, 20 years old.

Naw Mu Mu, an expecting mother suffering from pre-eclampsia (severe high blood pressure during pregnancy), arrived at RTC in the first week of January. After being an inpatient for a few weeks and not responding to medications to lower her blood pressure, she exhibited other concerning signs that led to an emergency cesarean section three weeks before Naw Mu Mu’s due date. The family welcomed a beautiful healthy baby, and we are glad to report that both mother and baby are in good health under the care of our staff and PA students.

The beautiful mother said, "When they discovered that I had high blood pressure during my pregnancy and it was getting serious, medical staff at the clinic near my home advised me that they could not promise a safe birth for both me and my baby. They told me about RainTree Clinic, and that they knew RTC could help. It took a half-day to arrive here, and it cost our family 1-2 months' income to pay for transportation. However, our family gave up everything for the baby's safe delivery.”
